A high school football player in New Jersey has been accused of removing a player’s helmet then using it as a weapon against him during a game.

Video evidence shows a Linden High defensive end taking off an Immaculata High offensive lineman’s helmet then hitting him across the forehead with it after a play.

Violent plays this football season are becoming all too common at the prep level. Earlier this month, two players in Texas targeted an official late in the fourth quarter following a series of controversial calls.

An assistant coach was later put on administrative leave for his reported role in the incident.

Last week, Camden County High’s coaching staff was accused of allowing a junior varsity player’s beatdown inside the locker room involving a trash can.
