It’s true.

Iowa football is unbeaten this season.

The cause for celebration has turned this family of Hawkeyes a little nuts in the form of bashing the SEC by dissecting the league’s, ahem, myth.

“In the SEC, if a bottom team beats a top team, the national narrative is that the SEC is a deep, tough conference,” the Iowa father tells his kids. “But if it happens in any other conference, the national narrative is that conference is having a down year at that time.”

“That’s complicated,” his son responds.

The Hawkeyes will reach the Big Ten Championship Game this season without having to play Michigan, Michigan State or Ohio State prior to the league final.

Imagine that, an SEC team avoiding Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss before arriving in Atlanta.

Some things just aren’t fair.
