Where’s ESPN’s Karl Ravech when you need him?

Tim Tebow has turned up his game. While others are scoffing at his promotion to the St. Lucie Mets, Tebow’s been making sure he’s not going to give anyone anything to snicker about.

Heading into tonight’s game, Tebow is 5-for-9 with one home run and two RBIs. He’s hitting .556 and slugging .889. Sure, those numbers will go down as the season goes along, but he’s making sure his new bosses notice him.

While Tebow has made some headlines at the plate this year, he hasn’t made many at all in the field. But he made a spectacular play during the first inning of Friday night’s game while giving up the body and crashing into the left field wall. It doesn’t look like he robbed a home run, but it was close.
