Video: We've never seen anyone act like this after getting drafted
If you were unfamiliar with former UCLA standout Takkarist McKinley before Thursday’s NFL Draft, this will be one hell of an introduction.
After being drafted by the Atlanta Falcons with the No. 26 overall pick, McKinley walked on stage with a framed photo of his deceased grandmother. While unusual, that wasn’t the strange part. Check out McKinley’s rambling speech he gave on live television to NFL Network’s Deion Sanders.

A nice tribute to his grandma combined with a few shouts of “get to the damn quarterback” has to be a first in NFL Draft history. Maybe he’s just really fired up to be joining the defenders NFC Champions.
I understand excitement and commitment to family, but acting that way on national TV isn’t a great way to represent yourself or the organization selecting you. Then again maybe it’s because I’m a Pats fan
The pats? Are you from Tennessee? How long have you been a Pats fan?
Not everyone is going to be fans of the in-state teams. I know a guy from New Orleans who isn’t a Saints or Pelicans fan.
I think everyone understands that already, but the point is it’s stupid.
^^^Facts
This guy will be suspended within a year
I forgot how it goes, but what’s that saying “you can’t take the ghetto out of” or something like that? Never mind, I can’t remember.
Idk if he’s as ghetto as he is linguistically challenged. He’s a textbook example of some of these t-shirt fans on here who can’t construct thoughts with substance.
This kid needs a publicist, fast!
This kid is either going to be very good or very bad. Either way, he seems like he may have a few issues.
This kid is wound a little too tight.
She looks like Aunt Ester!
Drama queen. I wouldn’t want him.
