WATCH: Alabama, Auburn honor tornado victims with moment of silence before basketball game

Over the weekend, deadly tornadoes ripped through the Lee County area of Alabama, claiming the lives of 23 people.
On Tuesday night, the Alabama and Auburn men’s basketball teams met on the court in Tuscaloosa, and for a few moments, put aside their rivalry to honor the victims of the tragedy.

Both schools and their athletic departments are working hard to help those affected by the storms. Auburn’s football team delivered supplies to the area on Monday, and other relief efforts are underway.
On Monday night, the Tuscaloosa mayor showed his support for the affected area, changing the city hall lights orange and blue:
