Florida State QB Deondre Francois has been under pressure all year, and on Saturday, he got hit early and often in a 30-7 loss at Syracuse.
He was visibly frustrated with his lack of protection, and that frustration showed late in the game.
As you can see in the video below, Francois ended up on the ground following a play. His left tackle tried to help him up, but Francois emphatically denied him:
Deondre Francois doesn’t even want help from his offensive lineman off of the ground. He’s taken a beating today vs. Syracuse.

When this is the level of protection the left tackle has been offering all game, we don’t blame Francois for being upset:
Look at Florida State’s left tackle.

The Seminoles are 1-2 with only a narrow win over Samford on their resume, so the Willie Taggart era isn’t off to a good start.
Will Francois last the season with this kind of protection? It seems that he doesn’t think so, and is fed up with his line’s ineptitude.
