WATCH: ESPN sideline reporter ridiculed Monday night, has excellent response
ESPN sideline reporter Sergio Dipp had quite a night on Monday Night Football.
Dipp was making his first MNF appearance and national television debut while working the game between the San Diego Chargers and Denver Broncos. The game was incredible and was an awesome scene to debut at.
Unfortunately for Dipp, his first segment did not go according to plan. Dipp, seemingly nervous, struggled to put sentences together while attempting to introduce Denver’s first-year head coach Vance Joseph. To Dipp’s credit, he pressed on and was able to complete the segment.
Granted, Dipp is a newcomer to Monday Nigh Football, but he has been with ESPN since 2013, working largely on ESPN Deportes.
Video of Dipp was shared on Twitter:

As one might expect, fans were quick to jump on Dipp’s on-air struggles.

No more Sergio Dipp tonight. The NFL put him in the concussion protocol.

Thankfully, Dipp appears to be able to laugh off the incident. He shared a humorous tweet later Monday evening to show how he is dealing with the spotlight:

Dipp went on to post a heartfelt video Tuesday morning recapping his debut with the hope that he will earn another chance to prove himself:

It is good to see Dipp is able to take the whole incident in stride.
