WATCH: Hugh Freeze delivers pregame speech to Liberty players from hospital bed

Liberty coach Hugh Freeze is still recovering after surgery for a serious infection, and he was confined to a hospital bed on Saturday.
That didn’t stop him from coaching from the press box during Liberty’s 24-0 home loss to No. 22 Syracuse, though.
As you can see in the video below, Freeze even delivered the pregame speech to his players, speaking to them via video from his hospital bed:

Hopefully Freeze will be back on the sidelines soon, but his illness was a very serious matter. As bizarre as coaching from a hospital bed is, he does seem to have the respect of his players.
We’ll see how Liberty fares moving forward against non-ranked opponents.
