The Iron Bowl is a nation-wide rivalry.
The latest evidence comes from the CBS game show “Let’s Make a Deal.” Host Wayne Brady introduced contestant Portia, a victim services director for an Alabama rape crisis center. Upon hearing that she was from Alabama, the second announcer, Jonathan Mangum, said “Roll Tide.”
Portia looked like she shocked both hosts when she responded with “War Eagle.” Brady looked confused; he’s clearly not a college football fan. Mangum responded as an explanation for Brady, “That’s the Auburn University.”
