Washington State coach Mike Leach is a national treasure, and every time he has a microphone in front of him, it’s must-see television.

On Wednesday, the target of his latest rant was the game of golf, which, suffice to say, isn’t one of the Wazzu coach’s biggest hobbies.

As you can see in the video below, Leach calls B.S. on golfers pretending to know where their shots are going to go before they hit them:

“They’ll line up over the ball and they’ll say they’re going to do with a club and a ball, but you can’t do with a sniper rifle and a scope. They’ll say ‘OK if I just back off on my left and put a little more weight on my right, the ball will go right there.’ No it won’t. I mean it might be a good shot, it might be a great shot, but it’s not going to go there.”

He ended by saying he thinks golf is only good for one thing — practicing your curse words:

“Golf’s pretty much for people that don’t swear effectively enough or need practice at it. And so there are people that need golf and I don’t think I do.”

Leach says his dad and brother are big golfers, but if you see him on a golf course, go say hi, because it sounds like he’s bored with “reading the same magazines over and over.”
