Washington State coach Mike Leach is a national treasure, and anytime he’s in front of a microphone, the results are bound to be entertaining.

The most recent story involves Leach tracking a raccoon through a residential area. Leach details his search for the creature while also listing some other animals he’s seen.

As you can see in the video below, Leach tracked the animal for quite a while through the snow, simply out of curiosity:

“I was curious where this sucker lived, so I walked about a half a mile out of my way to sort it out,” he said. “It was a fairly residential area and I was just curious where a raccoon would live.”

What Leach learned from his tracking remains to be seen, but perhaps he has a career as a tracker when he decides to hang up his whistle.
