WATCH: New Mexico State WR makes convincing case for catch of the year vs. Arizona State
The best catch of the 2017 season has already been made and most teams haven’t even played their first games yet.
That’s because New Mexico State WR Jaleel Scott made a catch so incredible vs. Arizona State on Thursday night that it’ll be very tough for any other receiver to beat.
As you can see in the video below, Scott makes an insane backhanded, one-handed grab with a defender draped all over him in the end zone:

Arizona State held on for a narrow 37-31 victory, but the Aggies made it close, thanks in large part to Scott’s amazing grab.
Scott was the game’s leading receiver, making eight grabs for 149 yards and two touchdowns.
