Sports are full of incredible moments, and Aledo High School’s Blaze Mays got to live his out on Saturday in the Texas state title game.
Mays, who was born with Down syndrome, got a chance to take the field for his team during their championship victory.
As you can see below, Mays enters the game as a wide receiver and blocks for a running play before exiting the field and celebrating with his teammates:
Blaze Maye’s was born with Down syndrome and wanted nothing other than to play football. Today, he got to play in the state championship. This is why we love high school sports.

The game was well in hand for Aledo, but Mays still got to play, and it’s clear he’s a big favorite among his teammates.
That was a cool moment for Mays in the title game, and one he and his teammates will remember for a long time to come.
