College football players are some of the most agile people on the planet. Referees, while still in pretty good shape, are not.

However, one referee showed a great deal of strength on Saturday in Stillwater, bringing down a West Virginia running back with a forearm shiver.

As you can see in the video below, the ref was clearly trying to get out of the way, but the running back ran right into him and was knocked to the ground:

The ref won’t be credited with a tackle, but he should be. Meanwhile, that running back will hear it from his teammates for getting brought down like that.

West Virginia is winning the game in the third quarter though, so it’ll be a lot funnier in film study if the Mountaineers win.
