WATCH: Stanford trolls Jameis Winston while celebrating upset over Washington
It looks like Stanford took notice Jameis Winston’s recent pregame speech.
The Cardinal were able to pull off the upset against the Washington Huskies Friday night. Stanford put up an incredible effort and outscored Washington 20-8 in the second half to pull off the 30-22 victory.
Stanford relied heavily on star RB Bryce Love yet again, and Love continues to impress on the field. He carried the ball 30 times for 166 yards and 3 TDs in the win. Love’s workload allowed the Cardinal to dominate time of possession and keep the ball away from Washington’s offense.
It was an impressive win for Stanford and put a serious dent in the Playoff hopes of every Pac-12 team. Each team in the Pac-12 now has at least two losses and could wind up on the outside looking in when the final Playoff rankings are announced.
Stanford is relishing in the upset, and it appears a couple of players trolled the recent pregame speech of Winston. Winston made a weird gesture in encouraging his Tampa Bay teammates to “eat a W.”
