To say Tim Tebow got off to a quick start in Double-A would be an understatement.
Tebow hit a bomb on the first pitch in his first Double-A at-bat to start the season.
Everyone collectively rolled their eyes when the Mets announced that Tebow would start the season in Double-A. Yes, Tebow hit .226 with a .656 OPS last season at the A level of the Mets organization, but he really struggled this spring. He went 1-18 with 11 strikeouts with the big league team during spring training.
Tebow plays for the Mets’ Double-A affiliate Binghamton Rumble Ponies. The Rumble Ponies are hosting the Portland Sea Dogs.
