Week 2 SEC opening lines released
The opening lines for Week 2 have begun to trickle out and SEC teams are favored to win every nonconference matchup outside of Texas A&M’s trip to Clemson and Vanderbilt’s trip to Purdue.
The lines were released on Sunday following the first full weekend of action around the SEC.
Games against FCS competition don’t have opening lines, so Georgia, South Carolina and Florida don’t have spreads to bet on at this time.
Here are the opening lines for every available Week 2 SEC game:
Pretty much everything outside of the W. Virginia/Missouri games looks like something straight from the Onion.
Southern Miss struggled to score 24 on Alcorn State. Sure they got up to 38, but two of those TDs were punt returns. ULL is a much better team than them. I don’t expect too much of a fight.
I don’t know. ASU will likely be a decent team in that division, so USMs win is comparable to ours, for them, but 90something yards on 30+ carries, yikes. We shore up our tackling, they might never see the end zone. The golden eagles are one of the favorites to compete for CUSA, a win in Starkville would go a long way to stealing love from the AAC, so I want to see us revved up early. We let the cajuns hang around too long, we need to crush the mustard buzzards just suffocate them.
I feel like we’ll be fine as long as the tackling issue gets fixed.
You didn’t even go to State
That Auburn line will climb for sure
12 point favorite against a P-5 team?
Huh. Hope Vegas is right. I expect that to get bet down a decent amount before Saturday, though.
The line I saw for Texas A&M was 15.5. A 54 point line is ridiculous. The Texas-LSU line was a pick em before Saturday’s games, and some sites had Texas as a slight favorite. Huge game for the Tigers.
Bama wont beat their spread!
Saban would never hang 54 on a team on purpose. He’ll be playing the cheer leaders by the 4th quarter.
You must not watch much Bama football.
