As we head into the back end of the season, we take a look at how the Southeastern Conference teams stack up with the Big 12. TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma State seem to be able to play with anyone in the country, but after that, the SEC dominates these rankings.

PLAYOFF CONTENDERS

It is logical one of the teams from each conference will get to the playoffs with an undefeated season, or even one loss. The question is which teams?

1. LSU (5-0)
2. Texas A&M (5-0)
3. TCU (6-0)
4. Baylor (5-0)
5. Florida (5-0)

CONTENDERS

Don’t count any of these teams out of the playoffs just yet. If they win out, they could be playing in mid-January.

6. Oklahoma State (6-0)
7. Ole Miss (5-1)
8. Alabama (5-1)
9. Oklahoma (4-1)

CHALLENGERS

It is still too early to count these teams out. They will have a say in who wins the respective conference titles.

10. Georgia (4-2)
11. Texas Tech (4-2)
12. Kentucky (4-2)

NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY

Dangerous. That is the only way to describe these teams on any given day.

13. Mississippi State (4-2)
14. Tennessee (3-3)
15. Texas (3-3)

ON THE UPSWING

For these teams the second half of the season looks a lot brighter than the first half did. They are getting better.

16. Auburn (4-2)
17. Kansas State (3-2)
18. West Virginia (3-2)
19. Arkansas (2-4)

THE REST

This season is pretty much in the books for these teams. All that is left is to improve to have a better future.

20. Vanderbilt (2-3)
21. South Carolina (2-4)
22. Kansas (0-5)
