Google is probably one of the best inventions of the last two decades.

It’s more than just a brand. It’s a verb, a research tool and access to more knowledge, opinion and theory than any of us can fathom.

It’s also a smart tool. Like predictive text on your iPhone, Google predicts what you’re searching as you type.

We’ve all seen it. You start typing something into the Google search bar, and the suggestions often catch you off guard with their accuracy, oddness or hilarity.

Google built its reputation on giving users relevant results. So what does that say about SEC fans?

Here’s a look at what Google really thinks about the SEC fan bases right now.

THE GOOD

Google Missouri Fans

Missouri is quite possibly the most conference-positive team in the SEC. By that we mean they are always first to start the SEC chant instead of a team chant in the aftermath of victory. However, the Gator Chomp in 2014 was definitely a show of school pride over conference pride.

Google Tennessee Fans

Good for Tennessee fans, bad for the rest of the SEC: “Rocky Top” is one of the most recognized fight songs in college sports. This is precisely why USA Today named it as No. 1.

Google TAMU Fans

When Google suggests Aggies fans are brutal, it sounds bad, but it’s quite the opposite. The 12th Man at Texas A&M makes up one of the best, most supportive fan bases in the nation, and that’s not just in football. Take a look at them during baseball season.

THE BAD

Google Alabama Fans

Alabama is one of the many fan bases to be the worst. What gives? They can’t all be the worst. It sounds like Google is just bitter. Although some of those jokes are pretty funny. And Google seems to be obsessed with the prospect of Tide fans in tears.

Google Arkansas Fans

So Razorbacks fans are crazy AND the dumbest. It’s probably because they rushed the field in 2014, incurring a huge fine for the school.

Google Auburn Fans

Auburn is always being compared to Alabama. Poor thing. Oh, and its fans are also the worst, according to Google.

Google Georgia Fans

Knock it off, Google. They’re probably crying because you keep calling them the worst. Though they could be crying because they know the barking is getting as annoying as Mississippi State’s cowbells.

THE UGLY

Google Florida Fans SS

Pretty much everything about jorts are ugly. I don’t think anyone can argue that. But you keep doing you, Florida fans. Even if Google thinks you are just the worst.

Google Kentucky Fans

If you thought Arkansas rushing the field was bad, you haven’t heard about Kentucky falling apart after losing to Wisconsin in the Final Four. Lock it up, Wildcats. And Google, stop calling everyone the worst, and stop obsessing over the tears of the SEC.

Google Miss State Fans

One thing that’s never OK for a fan to do is to degrade the hard work of the team or an individual team member. That’s exactly what Mississippi State fans did when the Bulldogs lost to Kentucky in basketball in 2010. Mississippi State had played a phenomenal game against the Wildcats when Kentucky came back to win in overtime. Throwing bottles may have been the fans’ way of showing their displeasure for the officials, but that’s not what the team took away from the temper tantrum. On the other hand, the fans’ a cappella rendition of the National Anthem in 2014 was pretty spectacular.

Google Ole Miss Fans

What interests us most here is that final search suggestion. To which rushing of the field is Google referring? That would be the one when the Rebels beat Alabama in 2014, incurring a $50,000 fine against the University of Mississippi. That’s double what Arkansas was fined the following month. Ole Miss’ fine was higher because this was the school’s third offense in as many seasons.

THE REAL UGLY

Google South Carolina Fans

One of the only fan bases Google doesn’t suggest is the worst is one that is arguably the worst. Most of the Gamecocks fans’ bad behavior seems to revolve around Clemson games, but that doesn’t make it OK. Google thinks South Carolina fans are rude, and it’s not just Google that thinks so. Clemson players agree, and it revolves around that whole “throwing bottles” suggestion. The Gamecocks fans are also known for leaving early when they think the game is lost, not a good thing to be known for.

THE WEIRD

Google LSU Fans

What’s even weirder than the connection between LSU and corndogs is that it’s still a Google search suggestion. That was so last season, Google. Except that even last year, no one really understood the reference. As for LSU fans kissing? I don’t even want to know why that’s a common search.

Google Vandy Fans

Why do Vandy fans need so many gifts? Does Google feel sorry for them? And why do they whistle? There’s an answer for the whistling, but the gift giving is still a mystery.

FANS BE LIKE

Apparently, a lot of fans “be like” something. What is that something? Well, let’s take a look.
