Where each SEC team's 2021 recruiting class ranks after Day 1 of the Early Signing Period
The 2021 Early Signing Period got started with a bang, as hundreds of top recruits made their decisions final, signing their Letters of Intent.
SEC schools fared well on Wednesday, scooping up a ton of the most-talented players the 2021 class has to offer.
After the dust settled on Wednesday, here’s where each SEC school’s recruiting class ranked (via the 247Sports composite rankings):
- Alabama — No. 1
- Georgia — No. 3
- LSU — No. 4
- Florida — No. 8
- Texas A&M — No. 11
- Tennessee — No. 15
- Ole Miss — No. 18
- Arkansas — No. 20
- Mizzou — No. 26
- Mississippi State — No. 36
- Kentucky — No. 38
- Auburn — No. 40
- Vanderbilt — No. 48
- South Carolina — No. 107
Obviously, South Carolina has a ton of work to do to get its class up to par under new head coach Shane Beamer.
There are still 2 days left in the Early Signing Period, so we’ll see what happens moving forward.
How do you miss a school?
Missouri grad…
Because hillbillies don’t matter.
We’re the hillbillies in this conference, Corch.
Wait a minute, the pigs got left out? That’s down right yankee like behavior, Adam is trying, he is a journalism major, so you have to realize reality is difficult for him.
Nah, Tennessee got left out, but Corch mistakenly thought the Volunteer state had more ridge runners in it than we do here in the Natural State.
Because at SDS, the title “Editor” after your name means about as much as “National Campion” being associated with UCF.
Did Tennessee leave the SEC. Seems like a big miss on your part.
Many Vol fans have chimed in saying Pruitt can’t develop players, so does it really matter?
We decided to move to the ACC and changed our name to mountain surfers.
Tennessee will have to change their nicknames, because in the next four years, the term “Volunteers” will become obsolete once we all work for room and board. Nobody will know what a Volunteer is, as the word leaves the vocabulary.
South Caroline, yikes. Auburn is low compared to their recent history, but it could have been worse. Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Missouri are a bit of a surprise. And I guess Tennessee went to another conference.
We only have about nine players signed and four reaching back to last year so we’re very short on numbers. I’m sure we’ll improve from where we are but won’t approach the top 50! Next year will be the barometer for Beamer!
No Tennessee? 247 sports only ranks the top 125 :D
