Entering Week 11 of the SEC schedule, college football guru Phil Steele unveiled another edition of his Vegas Power Ratings, a former weekly feature of his at ESPN.com, numbers he describes as “my plus/minus ratings which closely resemble Vegas’s numbers as well as three different casinos.”

Steele has 4 SEC teams in his top 10: No. 1 Alabama, No. 5 Florida, No. 6 Georgia and No. 8 Texas A&M. Steele also has Auburn (No. 23) in the top 25.

The remaining SEC teams are: No. 29 LSU, No. 34 Ole Miss, No. 39 Missouri, N0. 42 Arkansas, No. 48 Tennessee, No. 57 Kentucky, No. 74 Mississippi State, No. 86 South Carolina, and No. 101 Vanderbilt.

“This is not the AP poll but gives you an idea of how much teams would be favored over another team if they met on a neutral field,” Steele writes on his website.

  • No. 1 Alabama, (142.77 Vegas Rating)
  • No. 5 Florida (131.23)
  • No. 6 Georgia (128.95)
  • No. 8 Texas A&M (127.96)
  • No. 23 Auburn (118.64)
  • No. 29 LSU (115.50)
  • No. 34 Ole Miss (113.26)
  • No. 39 Missouri (112.58)
  • No. 42 Arkansas (112.42)
  • No. 48 Tennessee (111.23)
  • No. 57 Kentucky (110.20)
  • No. 74 Mississippi State (106.17)
  • No. 86 South Carolina (101.26)
  • No. 101 Vanderbilt (96.27)

With 10 of its 14 teams in the top 50, the SEC is clearly regarded by Steele as the most dominant in college football.
