The NET rankings aren’t a perfect metric by any means. The new system the NCAA has designed to try to rank the 300+ men’s basketball teams currently has Colgate, a 10-1 team in the Patriot League, at No. 13 overall.

That, frankly, is ridiculous. But, it’s still a rankings system the NCAA will use come Selection Sunday, when you’ll hear all about Quad I wins.

So, where do the 14 SEC squads stand after Saturday’s slate of games? Here’s a look at where the SEC teams are currently ranked:

  • No. 8 — Alabama
  • No. 17 — Tennessee
  • No. 25 — Arkansas
  • No. 27 — LSU
  • No. 30 — Florida
  • No. 37 — Mizzou
  • No. 60 — Ole Miss
  • No. 64 — Kentucky
  • No. 71 — Auburn
  • No. 83 — Mississippi State
  • No. 93 — Georgia
  • No. 120 — South Carolina
  • No. 123 — Vanderbilt
  • No. 135 — Texas A&M

Time is running out for teams trying to make late additions to their NCAA Tournament resumes. We’ll see how this next week of hoops action affects the NET rankings.
