Following the 2015 season, Baylor coach Art Briles was fired amid reports of a rape culture and ongoing sexual violence committed by football players and covered up by the university.

Briles was fired and both university president Ken Starr and athletic director Ian McCaw resigned in the wake of the scandal. Briles has yet to land another coaching job since then.

On Tuesday, ESPN columnist Mark Schlabach, who wrote the newly released book called “Violated” along with Paula Lavigne, joined Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly and commented on whether he thinks Briles will ever land another college coaching job:

“Violated” provides an in-depth look at what went on behind the scenes at Baylor during the time of turmoil, so Schlabach has more knowledge on the Baylor scandal than most people.

Therefore, when he says it would be surprising to see Briles back in college, he’s probably right.

His son, Kendal, is currently the offensive coordinator under Lane Kiffin at Florida Atlantic. Art has reportedly been helping FAU’s offense on an informal basis.
