It is the second transfer for Pinson. After 3 years at Mizzou, Pinson transferred to LSU ahead of the 2021-22 season.

Pinson’s second time in the transfer portal came with twists and turns. In early April, Pinson was reportedly down to Mississippi State and Xavier. On May 7, however, Pinson had a new top 3 of Mississippi State, Georgia Tech and New Mexico State.

In his season at LSU, Pinson played in 27 games as the team’s starting point guard, posting averages of 28.1 minutes, 9.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game with a 1.5 assist/turnover ratio. Pinson missed time in the middle of the season with an MCL sprain in his right knee after getting LSU off to a 14-1 start.

In 2020-21, Pinson started all 26 games for Mizzou, averaging 13.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
