South Carolina appears to be the only SEC program still in the mix for one of the top wide receivers out of Maryland.

Germantown, Maryland wideout Kaden Prather named a top five of South Carolina, Penn State, Maryland, Oklahoma and West Virginia on Saturday via his Twitter account. The Northwest product is listed at 6-3, 210 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 14 recruit in Maryland, No. 51 wide receiver and No. 300 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite. Prather has an impressive 32 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn evaluated Prather earlier this year:

Long, big-bodied receiver with ability to play at 225 pounds. Strong and physical. Gets off line quickly and into routes well. Flashes out of breaks. Locates ball well. Knows how to use size against smaller defenders. Shows burst after catch. Quick to pierce defense and gets to top speed in a few steps. Creates mismatches. Big hands. Uses size to beat jams. Can be a red-zone threat. Has to continue to work on catching ball away from body. Sometimes fights the ball and allows it inside. Consistency needed with high-pointing passes. Multi-year starter at Top 20 program.
