South Carolina’s defense came up big in the 4th quarter against Florida.

The Gamecocks’ signature Beamer Ball showed up as they blocked Florida’s field goal attempt that would have cut the game to just 1 point.

And South Carolina made the Gators pay on the next drive. The Gamecocks needed just 5 plays to get the ball in the endzone as Spencer Rattler found Joshua Simon for a 33-yard passing touchdown, giving South Carolina a 10-point lead with less than 10 minutes to go in the game.

Now Florida is looking to score on a crucial drive, while South Carolina looks to get a stop to close things out.

South Carolina is hoping to get back in the win column after dropping the game to Tennessee before the bye week. If the Gamecocks can get a stop, they should be in good position.
