Deebo Samuel worried football fans everywhere when he exited Sunday’s San Francisco-Tampa Bay game on the cart. Initial reports are indicating the injury may not be as bad as initially feared.

Samuel left in the 2nd quarter of Sunday’s game. There were worries that he had suffered a knee injury.

Reports, however, indicate Samuel is dealing with an ankle injury. While he won’t return Sunday, the 49ers are reportedly optimistic that their standout wide receiver will be okay.

Samuel entered Sunday’s game second on San Francisco in receiving with 50 catches for 569 yards. Against the Bucs, Samuel had 4 catches for 43 yards along with 4 carries for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Samuel is in his 4th season with the 49ers.
