Deion Sanders has quickly built the Jackson State Tigers into a force in the FCS ranks, and he’s managed to lure a few former SEC players to town, too.

Over the weekend, the Tigers added another ex-SEC player, this one coming to Jackson State via South Carolina.

Powers was a 4-star receiver in the 2020 recruiting class. In 2 years at South Carolina, he was used primarily as a backup, recording a total of 4 catches for 31 yards.

We’ll see this fall what sort of role he’s able to carve out for himself at Jackson State.
