South Carolina QB Collin Hill is coming off a tough game at LSU where he had his lowest completion percentage of the season in a 52-24 loss.

Hill was 12-for-22 passing for 234 yards with a touchdown and interception.

Since the Gamecocks had an off week last week, there was some discussion about a possible change at quarterback, and coach Will Muschamp was asked on Tuesday if there would be a change this week. He said Hill is the starter.

Whatever criticism Hill receives goes unheard to him, though, because he’s had a strict policy since he started playing college football at Colorado State.

“I’m just going to be real blunt, I don’t read anything,” Hill said. “No offense to you guys, I’m sure you do a great job of covering and all that stuff, but good or bad, that’s just something, once I got in college, I never read anything. Whether it was an article about my family, anything positive or negative, I don’t read anything. So to me, what happens outside the building, that doesn’t affect me either way. I’m going to come to work every day, I’m going to come in the building and take care of business and do what I need to do in order to keep getting better and run this offense the way we want to do it.”

He said it’s difficult to watch film of his mistakes because he doesn’t want to let his teammates down.
