Former South Carolina Gamecock Christian Walker is on a roll right now.

Walker smashed a 3-run bomb over the left field wall to lead all scorers in Tuesday’s matchup against the Guardians. It was his 25th long ball on the season, good enough for 9th in the league and tied for 4th most in the National League. Arizona went on to win, 6-3.

Walker was selected in the 4th round of the 2012 MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles. he played there for 2 seasons before being claimed off waivers by the Diamondbacks in 2017. He had a strong year in 2019, blasting 29 home runs in 157 games for the Diamondbacks.

2022 is shaping up to be his best season yet. The 31-year old is on pace to belt 40 home runs on the season and could break his career record for RBI, set at 73 in 2019.
