The Carolina Panthers expected big things from Jaycee Horn when they selected him with the eighth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. That investment is starting to pay dividends.

The former South Carolina star cornerback intercepted a pass against the New Orleans on Sunday. The Panthers shouldn’t be surprised. According to their website, Horn led all SEC players with just a 33 percent completion percentage allowed in 2020 while he was the pass defender. Now, Horn is showing his wares in the NFL.

While interceptions are the key for any defensive back, Horn has also drawn favorable for his reviews for his defense against the run. Horn will likely remember it was against his dad’s former team, and QB Jameis Winston.
