The NFL preseason is starting to wind down, but former South Carolina LB Bryson Allen-Williams has just landed an opportunity in the league.

The Oakland Raiders announced Sunday that they have signed Allen-Williams. The former Gamecock went undrafted in this year’s NFL Draft, but took part in Oakland’s rookie minicamp after the draft. He appears to have made a good impression this spring as the team is bringing him back now in late August.

In five years at South Carolina (2014-18), Allen-Williams played in 43 games, recording 176 tackles, 6.5 sacks, four interceptions, two passes defended, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries. In his senior season, Allen-Williams won the team’s Comeback Player of the Year and Tenacity awards.
