When Tennessee rolls into Columbia this week, the Vols will be “welcomed” in full force by Gamecock fans.

For the first time this season, South Carolina is opening up Founders Park to full capacity for the weekend series against Tennessee.

The South Carolina-Tennessee series is set to begin on Thursday, May 20, and conclude on Saturday, May, 22.

“In working with our medical task force, they have advised our department that it is not necessary to cut back on stadium attendance at this weekend’s baseball series,” South Carolina AD Ray Tanner said on Monday. “We look forward to having Founders Park full of Gamecock fans for this important SEC series.”

Both teams are ranked heading into the series and it will be the final regular-season games for each program before the SEC Tournament starts on May 25.

South Carolina is also opening up tailgating, without restrictions around Founders Park.
