For South Carolina wide receiver Bryan Edwards, the past few days have been a dream come true.

The Gamecocks senior made an incredible one-handed catch during the second quarter of the team’s loss to Tennessee on Saturday. And now, he’s been receiving plenty of praise for the grab.

That included a shout-out from Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss, one of the greatest receivers in football history. The praise came on Monday during ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown,” ahead of Monday Night Football.

Edwards may have been practicing one-handed catches like that for a long time, but it was still cool to hear Moss’ comments, which he discussed while speaking with reporters on Tuesday.

“This is something I’ve been doing since I was young. We used to go outside and play catch, just used to dream of catching the ball with one hand. It’s natural,” Edwards told the media. “Randy Moss is dope, he’s a legend, him and Jerry Rice. So to hear your name come out of his mouth, it’s an honor.”

Edwards’ spectacular catch was part of a solid day for him, as he had eight receptions for 83 yards. In eight games this season, Edwards has 48 catches for 587 yards and four touchdowns.

Now, Edwards will look to carry over the momentum into this week’s game. South Carolina is set to host Vanderbilt on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
