South Carolina’s a nearly three-touchdown underdog at Auburn on Saturday. Here’s a look inside some of the numbers:

RELATED: Auburn’s run game concerning for Gamecocks

THE GOOD

136: Total number of times junior tailback Mike Davis has touched the football this season, an SEC-high. He’s on pace to set a new personal high with over 1,200 yards rushing if the Gamecocks play a 13th game and will become the program’s third player ever to surpass 3,000 career yards on the ground.

3: Season-high total takeaways in last week’s win over Furman. South Carolina’s struggled to force turnovers this season and starting the second half of the season on the right foot was a promising sign for a struggling defense.

92.3: Season-leading accuracy rate from placekicker Elliott Fry, a Lou Groza award nominee, who has made 12 of 13 field goals this season.

THE BAD

23.0: Total tackles for losses this season through seven games. Only Ball State and Navy have been more inept along the defensive front. South Carolina’s last in the SEC in sacks and forced fumbles as well.

THE UGLY

81: Number of years that have passed since South Carolina’s last win over Auburn (1933).

12: Number of consecutive wins Auburn has posted inside Jordan-Hare Stadium since Gus Malzahn took over as coach prior to last season. The Tigers are 4-0 at home this season with an average margin of victory of 32.8 points per game.
