Jaylan Foster emerged into one of the best defensive backs in the SEC this year for the South Carolina Gamecocks.

He recorded a team-high 97 tackles to go with 5 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, an SEC-high 5 interceptions, 3 pass breakups and 2 forced fumbles.

Now, he’s capitalizing on that success to enter the 2022 NFL Draft, he announced via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon:

Foster was a first-team All-SEC selection for his efforts in 2021. If he puts up good performances at the NFL Combine and the South Carolina Pro Day, his stock will surely rise.

He’ll be tough for South Carolina’s defense to replace, but his success will be a good story for coach Shane Beamer to sell on the recruiting trails.
