South Carolina snapped LSU’s 3-game winning streak on Saturday with a 77-75 win in Columbia. Jermaine Couisnard carried the Gamecocks, who are now on a 3-game winning streak of their own, with 33 points.
It was a career-high for Couisnard, who didn’t know until a few hours before tip off that his mom would be in attendance.

Jermaine Couisnard said he didn’t know his mom was coming to see him play until this morning. A little emotional as he’s talking about it. Said it was “amazing” to be able to make her smile. She’s been battling colon cancer. I’ve heard from the family she’s made positive progress

South Carolina picks up a Quad 1 win with the victory over LSU. Frank Martin’s squad entered Saturday with a No. 94 NET ranking. The Gamecocks’ final 4 games of the regular season are against Mississippi State, Alabama, Missouri and Auburn. We’ll see a strong regular-season finish, and perhaps an SEC Tournament run, gets South Carolina into the March Madness picture.
