Antwane “Juice” Wells told social media just over a week ago that he would not be entering the 2024 NFL Draft and will return to South Carolina next season.
However, 247’s South Carolina site reported Thursday morning that Wells intends to use his final season of eligibility elsewhere and has plans to enter the transfer portal when it opens on Dec. 4.

Wells also turned off replies to his original post from over a week ago, which you can find below.
Clearing the air,
I’m not playing and not holding out for the NFL draft. I’ll be back next year…— Antwane Wells (@juicew3lls) November 21, 2023
That’s a rough blow for South Carolina if accurate. Wells missed the majority of this past season due to injury and totaled just 3 receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown. This came just a season after totaling 68 receptions for 928 yards and 6 touchdowns.
That would have been quite the addition to a passing offense which finished 3rd in the SEC. No official announcement or comment has been made from Wells following the original report.
