Almost everyone has weighed in on the job status and future of Tennessee coach Butch Jones. On Saturday, fans of the Gamecocks joined in as they got set to play the Vols in Neyland Stadium.

Part of the reason they offered their support for the embattled coach is that their own coach, Will Muschamp, is 5-0 against Tennessee and 3-0 against Jones in their careers.

Of course, given Tennessee’s dismal start to the season with a 3-2 record and 0-2 in the SEC coming off a bye week that followed a 41-0 home loss against Georgia, many have questioned Jones’ future.

Tennessee’s won three of the last four games in the series, but South Carolina pulled the upset last season in a game that helped launch the sensational freshman season for quarterback Jake Bentley.

The 3-2 start includes a last-play loss at Florida, a four-point win against a winless UMass team and the first shutout loss the program has suffered since 1994. Add that all together and fans are especially restless, and many believes Jones’ days leading the Tennessee program are numbered.
