Lovasea Carroll, a Georgia defensive back who entered the transfer portal after the national championship, has found his new school.

Carroll announced on social media that he has committed to play at South Carolina. He committed to the Gamecocks in April, 2019, and then decommitted from South Carolina in September. There is a belief that he would move back to running back as a Gamecock, especially since playing time will be available as the Gamecocks have lost Kevin Harris and Zaquandre White to the NFL Draft.

A 4-star recruit as a running back, Carroll switched to defensive back in the spring, and played in 4 games, with 3 tackles in the Charleston Southern game. Carroll is from Warrenton, Georgia, but played at Florida’s IMG Academy.

Coming out of high school, he was ranked as the No. 6 running back nationally, the No. 18 prospect in Florida, and the No. 112 overall prospect nationally
