Marcus Satterfield has noticed a difference in the South Carolina offense in recent weeks, and it’s not only because of the opponents the Gamecocks have played, S.C. State and Charlotte.

This week, the Gamecocks travel to No. 13 Kentucky for its biggest test in 3 weeks. The offensive coordinator appreciated how the players on offense approached the opponents. South Carolina enters Week 6 with a 3-2 record, while Kentucky is 4-1.

“We had success, and we’re never going to apologize for that,” Satterfield said, and added that the job is to score touchdowns. “I think there’s a lot to be said for that. The preparation, it didn’t matter if they were playing the Green Bay Packers, or a middle school team the last 2 weeks, I’ve just been very pleased with the intent, the urgency, the focus, the leadership that our offense has and just the preparation that they put into both those games.”
