Markee Anderson, 4-star 2023 offensive lineman, announces SEC commitment with syrup

Markee Anderson, a 4-star offensive lineman in the 2023 recruiting class, might have made history with his commitment on Sunday afternoon.
The 6-5, 305-pound lineman from Roebuck, South Carolina, decided to reveal his school choice with a bottle of syrup.
As you can see below, Anderson had syrup bottles with Clemson, North Carolina, LSU and South Carolina logos on them. And, to keep the Gamecocks hot on the recruiting trails, he became the latest member of Shane Beamer’s 2023 class:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Anderson is the No. 5 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2023 and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state of South Carolina.
The Gamecocks now have 15 players in their 2023 recruiting class. Prior to Anderson’s commitment, that class ranked No. 26 nationally, per 247Sports.
