South Carolina got off to a slow start against Charlotte on Saturday night.

But the Gamecocks turned it on over the final 3 quarters to roll to an easy 56-20 victory.

The star of the game for South Carolina was MarShawn Lloyd.

The 5-9, 212-pound sophomore rushed 15 times for 169 yards and 3 touchdowns.

And one of those carries was arguably the play of the day in college football Saturday, as Lloyd hurdled a defender on a 25-yard scoring run.

After the game, Lloyd was asked if he could remember a similar dynamic hurdle as a ball carrier.

He went back to his high school days and recounted a run in a game against Gonzaga.

Lloyd told the story siting next to Gamecocks quarterback Spencer Rattler, revealing that it was a Gonzaga team that featured Caleb Williams, who ended up replacing Rattler as Oklahoma’s starting quarterback.

Willams, of course, has since transferred to USC.
