South Carolina approves contract for Gamecocks running backs coach Montario Hardesty
Good news from Columbia as South Carolina’s entire coaching staff is officially under contract.
That’s the latest as South Carolina’s Board of Trustees has officially approved the contract of new Gamecock running backs coach, Montario Hardesty.
Hardesty was given a two-year worth $300,000 annually by South Carolina after he was signed away from Charlotte’s coaching staff.
Here are the salaries for several other South Carolina assistant coaches for 2021: defensive coordinator Clayton White ($900,000), offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield ($900,000), wide receivers coach Justin Stepp ($460,000), defensive backs coach Torrian Gray ($350,000), special teams coordinator Pete Lembo ($450,000), defensive backs coach Torrian Gray ($350,000), outside linebackers coach Mike Peterson ($420,000) and tight ends coach Erik Kimrey ($200,000).
Hardesty played running back for Tennessee before being selected in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.
Before landing at Charlotte, Hardesty served as a GA at Tennessee.

What’s Connor Shaw’s position with the Gamecocks ? I recall he was retained by Beamer.
I think he has some off field gig, player development or something.
Director of Football Relations, I believe he has some leeway into on site recruiting now due to it.
So has Auburn announced what they are paying Bobo? I’ve been watching for it but haven’t seen anything. We seem quick to announce what we are paying.
That’s weird and bad. Why would you ever want to post the entire coaching staff salary? Now every school in America knows what they need to do if they want one of them. This is stupid.
But again, I expect nothing less from our AD.
