Another South Carolina receiver plans to transfer.

According to 247Sports’ John Whittle, D.J. Neal — who is slated to be a sophomore this coming season — will reportedly transfer before the Gamecocks’ spring practices begin on March 15.

Neal joins Shaq Davidson, who decided to transfer from the school in early February. Those transfers hurt considering star receiver Pharoh Cooper left the program after his junior season.

As a freshman, the 6-foot-3, 201-pound Neal played in nine games and started three, recording 8 passes for 104 yards.

A form of relief may be on the way as it was reported earlier on Tuesday that former Gamecocks wideout Shaq Roland was “very interested” in returning to the program to exercise his final year of eligibility.
