A former South Carolina player currently in the NFL is reportedly facing a suspension.

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Chicago Bears receiver Alshon Jeffery will be suspended four games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

Jeffery played for the Gamecocks from 2009-2011, earning All-American recognition as a sophomore. The 6-foot-3, 218-pound receiver was a second-round draft pick of the Bears in the 2012 NFL Draft, and he has spent his entire professional career in Chicago.

A Pro Bowler in 2013, Jeffery has racked up 4,358 yards and 25 touchdowns on 292 career receptions. But now the Bears will be without his services for the next four weeks, and Jeffery will be out a few million dollars, according to Schefter.
