Roderick started 34 contests for the Gamecocks during his college career. Roderick sustained an injury in the season opener and lost his starting position, then departed the program in October to keep his eligibility for one more season.

The 6-foot, 200-pound South Carolina native arrived with the Gamecocks as the No. 24 in-state recruit and No. 98 safety in the nation, according to the 247Sports Composite.

South Carolina ended the 2022 campaign with an 8-5 mark after a 45-38 defeat vs. Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl. However, it was still a strong close to the season for the Gamecocks as the team notched top 10 victories vs. Tennessee and in-state rival Clemson.
