Roman Harper didn’t waste any time on SEC Now by predicting a stunning upset this week.

“I’m calling my shot, South Carolina is gonna win this game and they might win by double digits,” he said on the SEC Network. “I mean barely double digits, but it will happen.”

Harper said it means a lot to the Gamecocks, and the strategy will be to use Josh Vann and Zaquandre White, and be ready to take shots down the field against the “organized chaos” defense of Clemson. He specifically referred to the second down play-action passing game.

Harper’s colleague, Matt Stinchcomb, referred to South Carolina forcing turnovers against the Clemson passing game behind DJ Uiagalelei, which has struggled this season. Jaylan Foster, who has proven to be a ball hawk this season, will need to be active to neutralize the Clemson offense.

Harper even said Uiagalelei is only a half field reader, meaning once he looks in a certain direction, the ball is headed there.
