Ryan Hilinski will have plenty of time to make up for his final throw against Appalachian State but the freshman quarterback has to be sick over his final attempt Saturday night.

If you missed it, the Gamecocks rallied back from a late 20-9 deficit to close within 20-15 and had the ball as the game clock was winding down in the closing minutes of the contest.

On 4th and 15 with six seconds remaining in the game, Appalachian State had a bust in coverage, leaving South Carolina’s best receiver, Bryan Edwards, wide open for what would have been a game-winning touchdown score.

Unfortunately, Hilinski sailed the pass over Edwards’ head and the Gamecocks fell 20-15 in Columbia.
