Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks will be without a few guys on Saturday.
Following a 31-17 loss at the hands of North Carolina last Saturday, the South Carolina head coach updated the Gamecocks’ injury status heading into their Week 2 clash with Furman.
Sophomore defensive back Nick Emmanwori, redshirt sophomore defensive end Jatius Geer, freshman offensive lineman Markee Anderson, and redshirt senior defensive back David Spaulding will all miss this weekend’s game against the Paladins due to injury.
Jatius Geer is out.
Beamer thinks Emmanwori will be OK but as always, hamstrings can linger. https://t.co/WMgUuIVtyn

Emmanwori and Spaulding each registered a tackle in last week’s game, while Geer and Anderson did not travel with the team to Charlotte.
Emmanwori’s hamstring injury occurred on the first play of the game against the Tar Heels, and other players will have to step up in the starter’s absence.
Per Yahoo Sports, starting offensive lineman Cason Henry, a redshirt freshman, is not expected to play either.
The Gamecocks suffered a myriad of injuries on Saturday, but they will benefit from the return of linebacker Bam Martin-Scott, who did not travel to Charlotte last week. Wide receiver Ahmarean Brown is also expected to play after sitting out last week with a rib injury.
